Academic Borderlands
In this blog, I will mostly write about my research areas (political violence, dehumanization, racism, and the role of digital platforms and different discourses in their legitimation and reproduction) and the problems of contemporary academia. I am a Kurdish researcher who has studied his PhD in Colombia and currently working in Mexico as a postdoctoral researcher, so I can also write about the sociopolitical events of Latin America and West Asia.
En este blog voy a escribir sobre todo de mis áreas de investigación (violencia política, deshumanización, racismo y el papel de las plataformas digitales y los diferentes discursos en su legitimación y reproducción) y de los problemas de la academia contemporánea. Soy un investigador kurdo que ha estudiado su doctorado en Colombia y actualmente trabaja en México como investigador posdoctoral, por lo que también puedo escribir sobre los acontecimientos sociopolíticos de América Latina y Asia Occidental.

Auf “Leben und Geld” geht es, fast könnte man es sich denken, um Leben und Geld. Geld ist bekanntlich nicht alles, daher noch das mit dem Leben. Vielleicht geht es dann doch um alles. Irgendwie. Jedenfalls geht es im Leben oft um Geld. Auch beim Thema Gesundheit. Genaueres ist in den Blogbeiträgen nachzulesen.

Joseph Kuhn lebt. Seit längerem. Er hat Psychologie studiert und in Public Health promoviert. Sein Weg hat ihn in den 1990er Jahren in den öffentlichen Gesundheitsdienst geführt. Wo es ihn danach hinführt, wird man sehen.

Christian Meesters did his doctorate at the Institute of Molecular Biophysics in Mainz and was then a postdoc in genetic epidemiology in Bonn. He is now back in Mainz as a computational scientist and blogsabout science and teaching.

Christian Meesters promovierte am Institut für Molekulare Biophysik in Mainz und war danach PostDoc in der genetischen Epidemiologie in Bonn. Inzwischen ist er wieder in Mainz als “Computational Scientist” und bloggt über Wissenschaft und Lehre.
